Crunchy Snow Slime Recipe
Let it snow indoors with this crunchy snow slime recipe made with Magic City Slime Activator, Glue, white pigment, silver glitter and foam balls.
What you’ll need:
- Mixing bowl (For craft use)
- 4 ounces of Magic City Slime Glue
- ½ teaspoon of washable white paint or powder pigment
- ½ tube of silver glitter (Available as part of our Complete Slime Kit)
- Up to 4 tablespoons of Magic City Slime Activator
- A craft mixer
- Foam slime balls (Available as part of our Complete Slime Kit)
Note: This recipe makes about 5 ounces of slime. To increase the quantity, use a 4:1 ratio of glue to activator.
Step 1: Pour 4 ounces (or 1/2 cup) of Magic City Slime Glue into a mixing bowl.
Step 2: Dip a clean mixing stick into white paint or pigment of your choice to collect a small amount of color.
Step 3: Mix the color into the glue - add more color until you achieve your desired pigment.
Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon of Magic City Slime Activator to your glue mixture to start. Stir slowly for several minutes until mixture begins to thicken. Gradually add more Activator to continue the thickening process. You will need approximately 1.5 – 2 tbsp of Slime Activator to complete the activation process.
Step 6: Once mixture becomes too stiff to stir with spoon, remove from the bowl and begin mixing and kneading with your hands. By now your slime should have the consistency of wet pizza dough - stretchy and smooth but still a bit sticky. Continue to work with the slime until you've achieved your desired consistency and it no longer sticks to your hands.
Tip: Pour a couple of tablespoons of activator into a separate, shallow container. To avoid over-activating, simply dab your slime into the container as needed.
Too sticky? Add activator.
Too runny? Pour out excess activator & add glue
Step 7: Place slime on a clean work surface and pour glitter onto the slime. Next, work the glitter into the slime with your hands until fully dispersed. Repeat the same process with the foam balls. We recommend about ½ cup of foam balls for every 5 ounces of slime.
Step 8: Store in an airtight container and don't forget to wash your hands before and after each use.
